How To Find Out The Name Of A Computer

Windows 2000 and XP:

1. Close out of all windows so that you are looking at the desktop.
2. Right click on 'My Computer' and go to 'Properties'.
3. Click on the 'Network Identification' tab. Note what it says for "Full Computer Name", that is the name of the computer.

Windows 7/Vista:

1.Open System by clicking the Start button  , right-clicking Computer, and then clicking Properties.

2.In the Computer, Domain, Workgroup Settings, look for computer name.
